What is promotion of the voluntary sector?
| Data from the voluntary sector show a low level of growth in numbers of volunteers. Organisations increasingly ask what they can do to reach volunteers to sustain their social mission. At the same time many people ask where and how they can do voluntary work. Ciessevi has set up services and projects to make it easier to link up people and associations. Yet providing information is not enough; it is a matter of helping people to get to know associations, guiding them, supporting them as they live meaningful experiences which enable them to choose and to become volunteers. A service which benefits not only people and organisations but everybody, facilitating the voluntary sector’s task of acting for the good of all and for our local communities which obtain precious benefits in terms of social cohesion and solidarity from voluntary work. | |||
