Relations with institution representatives

Ciessevi’s collaboration with institution representatives is essential to the creation of the services it offers to the voluntary sector. Its relation with Milan’s provincial administration is important, as it has several institutional competences with regard to the voluntary sector in which it has been operating for many years. This understanding has seen the two bodies working together for several years now in staging annual seminars, implementing funding for project proposals by voluntary organisations and maintaining the provincial section of the register for both associations and the voluntary sector.
In the same way, in interfacing with municipal authorities, Ciessevi does not aim to replace the local voluntary sector (representation of the voluntary sector is left to the organisations themselves) but rather to be of support to it in fostering a relationship with the local administration which is as professional, competent and qualified as possible. In the experience of the local delegations and Local Area Social Programmes and on several other occasions, Ciessevi seeks to provide the municipal administrations with information which is of use to them in enhancing their relationship with the voluntary sector, from a solidarity and subsidiarity standpoint.
Other cooperative efforts are underway with local health authorities universities and research centres. In addition Ciessevi is a member of the Regional Coordinating Body for Service Centres in Lombardy and of the National Coordinating Body, CSV.net, with which it collaborates and participates in the implementation of experimental and innovative projects.
